Two days after her 3000m victory, Genzebe Dibaba made it a second gold at the 2018 World Indoor championships winning the 1500m in 4:05.27 ahead of Britton Laura Muir and Dutch Sifan Hassan.

She is only the second woman to complete a world indoor 1500m-3000m double after Gabriela Szabo of Romania in 1999.

The Ethiopian has now won 5 indoor world titles.
– 1500m: 2012 and 2018
– 3000m: 2014, 2016 and 2018
